Symposium 2022

SAVE THE DATE – 12-13th November 2022

The committee is pleased to announce the date and venue for this year’s symposium, this bi-annual event was missing last year but this year we are looking forward to welcoming you to the East coast of Scotland. 

Venue: The Ancrum Outdoor Centre* in Dundee is hosting the event with the Famous Arbroath Cliffs as the coasteering venue.

Workshop topics: 

  • NCC guide award update 
  • Working as a Technical advisor in coasteering
  • Ropes and their use in the coasteering environment
  • Jumping from height 
  • RNLI / Coastguard input
  • Roles of assistants / trainee guides / working with other guides and the implications of these roles
  • Deep water soloing in coasteering 
  • Animals and seaweed of the coast 
  • Leadership in coasteering
